Laura M. Born
Laura M. Born is an adjunct professor of finance at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. Prior to that, Laura had a 16-year career as an investment banker at JP Morgan Chase & Co. in New York and Chicago, where she specialized in equity capital markets, high yield and leveraged finance among other things.
Laura was introduced to Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) through her work with Carlson at JPMorgan and she advised Carlson and CWT in its purchase of Navigant in 2006, and then served on the CWT Board from 2013-2014.
She joined the Carlson Board in 2015 and serves as chair of the boards of trustees of two registered investment companies, and as an advisory board member of Driehaus Capital Management.
Laura is a graduate of Duke University and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.
