CWT Uses Mobile to Harness Traveler Loyalty

Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) today announced that it will be integrating Travel Gamification into its award-winning mobile app, CWT To Go.
For those companies that use a points-earned system, travelers will be able to keep track of their position on their company’s gamification leader board, which will help them make better travel decisions that support travel policy and drive savings when they are on the move.
“Travel Gamification is a tool travel managers can use to positively reinforce behavior compliant with their travel program. Providing travelers access to the tool via CWT To Go will help them understand the impact of their purchasing decisions, providing travel managers further opportunity to educate and influence their travelers to support the goals of their travel program,” said Joel Wartgow, senior director, CWT Solutions Group, Americas.
Various loyalty schemes demonstrate the power that collecting points and being rewarded can have on buyer behavior; travel managers can tap into the same methodology and turn it to their advantage by creating a reward-based culture within their organization. Travel Gamification uses customized, competitive game-style elements to influence desired traveler behaviors and drive savings in corporate travel environments. Each program is tailored to specific client needs to meet the objectives of their program, and is re-evaluated throughout the life of the engagement.

Travel Gamification in CWT To Go will be available to companies that engage CWT Solutions Group in their Travel Gamification programs. CWT will be offering demonstrations of the new functionality at this year’s GBTA Convention in Los Angeles from July 26-30 in booth 1713 on the convention floor.
